Price Forbes Re has named Nick Frankland (pictured above) to the role of non-executive chairman, effective Jan. 1, 2026. The appointment, which is subject to regulatory approvals, will see Frankland based in London.
Frankland has more than 45 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry. He has held positions at several brokerages throughout his career, including R K Carvill, BMS Re and Winchester Bowring Ltd.
His previous roles include reinsurance CEO for London and Bermuda at Aon, where he also served as chairman of the Global Strategy & Technology Group. He was also EMEA CEO at Guy Carpenter.
Frankland currently serves as non-executive chair at Faraday Underwriting Ltd in the Lloyd's market.
In a statement, Frankland said he saw the chairman role as an opportunity to apply his background to support the company's next phase. "The opportunity to leverage my experience to guide the development of Price Forbes Re was one I couldn't pass up," he said.
He added: "This is a dynamic phase for the business, which is demonstrating impressive growth, and I am looking forward to contributing to its continuing success."
Chris Bonard, president of Price Forbes Re, said Frankland's track record would support the company's expansion plans. "We are delighted to welcome Nick, whose dedication to the reinsurance industry is unparalleled," Bonard said.
Bonard noted that Frankland's market relationships and experience would be valuable as the company continues to develop its global platform. "Anyone who has worked with him will know of his strategic insights, expertise and market connections," he said.
The chairman appointment comes as Price Forbes continues to expand its international footprint. Earlier this month, the company named Dick Heath, former Gallagher Asia CEO, as head of reinsurance and wholesale in Singapore. Heath, who has more than 40 years of industry experience, reports to Philip Johnson, CEO of Price Forbes Asia-Pacific.
The Singapore operation is structured around three business areas: reinsurance and wholesale, specialty and retail, and marine, credit and political risk.
