    An immediate payout would not be prudent and the insurer acted in a robust and effective manner trying to gather more facts before making a decision. A visit from a loss adjuster would soon have worked out if it was a scam claim or not.

    It must have been in the terms and conditions of the contract - therefore why did she not query this before or her broker/insurer not discussing with her as per the FCA?
