Allianz has enhanced its Digital Claims proposition for commercial motor customers with a secure multimedia hosting platform, Allianz VUECloud.

The platform has been developed in partnership with VUECloud, sister company to vehicle CCTV and telematics company VUE. It allows customers to upload video footage plus a variety of documentation and instantly share information about a claim.

The new free service allows commercial motor fleet and motor trade customers to log-in to the platform and upload multi-media files, such as dash cam or CCTV footage, to support their motor insurance claim.

The partnership will also provide Allianz customers with the option to create their own bespoke branded platform at a discounted rate. In addition to facilitating claims, this collaboration will aim to improve risk management by analysing telematics data and interpreting accident frequency, as well as offering drivers road safety advice.

Allianz’s head of claims strategy & customer experience, Margaret Scott, commented:

“I’m confident that our enhanced digital claims proposition provides a faster and easier claims service which will help mitigate business interruption and disruption for customers. We’re already seeing that claims submitted via digital channels support more active decision making and proactive claims handling, reducing time and effort for our customers and ultimately delivering better results.”

Allianz's head of motor insurance, Jonathan Dye, added:

“Our aim is to become a digital by default business and so we continuously look for ways to deliver a superior customer journey. I’m delighted that we are now able to offer this new digital capability to our commercial motor customers, which we believe will provide a faster and more seamless service.”

VUEcloud managing director, Chris Rodowicz, commented:

“We are delighted that working in partnership with Allianz, our jointly staffed project team implemented a solution within six months which has truly helped to transform the claims experience for Allianz commercial motor customers. The success of this project demonstrates the value to insurers and to their customers of being able to share digital media relating to claims easily and as early as possible to enable quick, accurate decision making and hence claims resolution.”

This latest enhancement to Allianz’s Claims proposition follows the launch of Allianz Site View earlier this year, a live video streaming platform for Personal and Commercial property customers.
