Claims management giant Sedgwick, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, has bolstered its agricultural and rural network (ARN) in the UK.

“We have expanded our agricultural business capabilities with the recruitment of 15 new team members, including specialist adjusters and support colleagues,” reported Sedgwick divisional managing director Neil Gibson. “The growth of our team supports our objective to become the market leader in the handling of agricultural and related losses.”

The ramp-up, according to Sedgwick, makes its team of over 65 sector specialists the biggest in the UK market. Augmenting the ARN division are the likes of Jodie Brooking-Clark, Wayne Kilpatrick, Graham Plaister, Andy Rankin, and Peter Thompson.

Meanwhile David Orrell is the firm’s new head of specialist agriculture in the UK. The team will be based out of a new office in Shrewsbury.

“We bring a combined total of over 150 years of expertise and client connections, which nicely complement Sedgwick’s existing and highly respected ARN team and client base,” said Orrell on the expansion. “With our expertise in farming, rural industry, and food production, we provide a bespoke service that will help insurers look after their countryside customers.”
