Gallagher has named Martin Rossiter (pictured) as partner in its aerospace practice.

Rossiter will be focused on the “further evolution” of Gallagher’s aerospace practice, a release said, and he also will be supporting clients with their wider risk management needs.

With a background in aviation risk which spans both the insurance market and industry roles, Rossiter has more than 35 years of experience. He was most recently serving as head of group insurable risk management at Etihad – a role he has held for the last five years. Prior to that, he was head of aviation underwriting and industry proposition for Generali Global Corporate & Commercial, and had held several other senior broking and consulting roles at Aon and Sedgwick.

“I’m thrilled to be joining Gallagher’s aerospace practice. I was attracted to the role as the team has a strong reputation for client excellence and market innovation,” commenter Rossiter on his appointment. “With Gallagher’s growing portfolio of aviation industry customers, I believe my experience will be highly relevant.

“We’re delighted Martin chose to join us here at Gallagher. He brings with him an in-depth understanding of current and emerging risks faced by aerospace organisations and the latest products, tools and techniques available to manage those risks. I’m confident the clients that Martin will work with will greatly benefit from his knowledge and experience,” said Gallagher aerospace practice CEO Peter Elson.

Elson added that this new hire is part of Gallagher’s ongoing commitment to “providing the very best technical subject matter expertise” to its clients.
