Allianz Worldwide Partners UK has raised a total of £41,307.98 for BBC’s Children in Need appeal after it recently turned its Croydon call centre into a donations collection headquarters.

A team of 80 volunteers ran the fundraising, with several organisations and local businesses rendering support through food and giveaways.

“Children in Need is a real highlight on our calendar – the whole business looks forward to this fun event for such a brilliant charity,” said Allianz Worldwide Partners UK chief executive Serge Corel. “The dedication and enthusiasm of our volunteers was evident throughout the night, and I’m delighted that so many of our employees volunteered to support this worthwhile cause.

“The success of the event at our Croydon call centre is not only down to the individual volunteers, but the businesses who continue to support our charitable efforts year on year. We pride ourselves on what we can give back to the community both locally, and nationally, to ensure that charities such as Children in Need can continue the amazing work they do each day.”

Children in Need, the BBC's UK corporate charity, provides grants to projects focused on disadvantaged children and young people in the UK. It currently supports 2,400 projects across the country.
