Organisations in the military charity sector that are interested to be allied with Lloyd’s Patriotic Fund (LPF) have until September 13 to apply as a partner.

LPF, which came to life in 1803, has been providing support to the Armed Forces community on behalf of the Lloyd’s market for more than two hundred years. Since 2010, it has donated over £3.2 million to assist serving and ex-service personnel and their families.

“Today, our new strategy focuses on improving the transition to civilian life for veterans and their families who need the most help,” stated the oldest military charity of its kind. “Lloyd’s Patriotic Fund aims to unite support from the market to aid the successful transition to civilian life for veterans and their families to ensure successful futures.

“We are looking for new partner charities to help improve the transition for ‘at risk’ groups (such as bereaved families, or early service leavers families) which focus on mental health, building resilience, employment support, and financial independence.”

LPF said its intention is to team up with one or two charities for up to three years, and that it has up to £200,000 annually either for one partner or across two partners. It is looking for organisations “who can engage the Lloyd’s market in a wide range of exciting and innovative ways as well as bring innovation and collaboration.”
