Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, a subsidiary of Volkswagen Group, has a new addition to its suite of programmes for customers – and it’s provided at no cost for those whose vehicles qualify.

In a news release published by Automotive World, the manufacturer announced the launch of its MOT insurance scheme which provides cover for repairs costing up to £750. Available to Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles below 10 years old and/or with recorded miles of less than 150,000, the MOT insurance is offered when drivers have the test completed in a Volkswagen Van Centre to cover the following year’s test.

The policy, with a £10 excess fee, covers a wide variety of key components excluding standard wear-and-tear items like bulbs, tyres, and brakes, as well as glass and bodywork.

“This is another example of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles’ Working With You promise to make life easier for our customers,” said Trevor Hodgson-Phillips, head of service and parts for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. “When time and budget are under real pressure, it will be reassuring for drivers to know that the unexpected won’t break the bank.”
