It was just in July that Mark Chessman took on the newly created chief operating officer position at Redde Plc. Now he has an additional role to play, and it’s an even bigger one.

The group – which works with insurers, insurance brokers, car dealerships, fleet owners, and motorists – has appointed Chessman, who will retain his COO remit, as an executive director. He previously served as chief executive officer of FMG, the fleet accident management firm acquired by Redde in 2015.

An associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, Chessman also spent 12 years at Lex Autolease.

“I am delighted to welcome Mark as an executive director of Redde,” commented CEO Martin Ward. “He has strong and relevant experience to support the future growth and direction of the business and will add strength to the board team.”

Headquartered in Bath, Redde provides mobility, incident management solutions, and legal services.
