Allianz Engineering, Construction & Power (Allianz EC&P) has consolidated all its renewable energy experts into a single team.
The insurer said in a release that the “cross-regional team of local underwriters” will service brokers and customers in the renewable energy sector. By putting all the experts into a single hub, Allianz hopes to add valuable expertise, resilience, and scale to its operations, while enhancing the company’s interactions with its brokers.
Allianz also noted that the new structure will complement its expert-led model, wherein underwriters are specialists instead of generalists.
“We believe this will best service the needs of our existing and future customers and enable us to fulfil our growth ambitions,” said Allianz EC&P head of customer and distribution Jonathan Oldfield. “We have the expertise, and we are looking forward to working even more closely with our broker partners to enable our customers to benefit from it.”
In a company release, Allianz stated that it is the first insurance member of Solar Energy UK, and is committed to supporting the net zero transition by offering risk transfer solutions and services in the renewable energy space.
Last week, Allianz named Graham Stait as regional manager, Midlands and Southwest, commercial regions. Stait previously served as Allianz’s head of claims operations and was a member of the Allianz Claims Management Committee.
