Melanie Markwick-Day has joined Chubb in London to serve as upstream energy senior underwriting officer for the insurer’s overseas general energy division.
The Ascot and Neon alumnus will be in charge of setting, implementing, and delivering underwriting strategy for global upstream energy.
Markwick-Day’s remit spans oversight of the five regional hubs – Europe, Asia-Pacific, Japan, Latin America, and Eurasia & Africa – within Chubb overseas general as well as identifying strategic opportunities alongside the team in North America.
“I am delighted that Melanie is joining our energy underwriting management team,” commented global energy chief underwriting officer Andrew Brown.
“She brings to Chubb a wealth of knowledge and experience and is perfectly placed to help drive growth in this important part of our overseas general energy business.”
Meanwhile, in a separate development, the company has introduced “The Chubb Interviews” podcast, which is a monthly classic cars show hosted by racing driver Jodie Kidd. The model and presenter is joined by co-host James Elliott, editor of specialist motoring magazine Octane.
