Getsafe, the German digital insurer that expanded into the UK in 2020 by introducing its digital contents insurance offering, has found another British ally in the form of price comparison website comparethemarket.com.
In a release, Getsafe founder and chief executive Christian Wiens (pictured) stated: “Getsafe is experiencing continuous growth – something the partnership with Compare The Market will drive even further.
“We are determined to make digital, app-based insurance the standard throughout Europe in the coming years, and this partnership puts us on the right track.”

As for the new collaboration, which means a now wider audience reach, Getsafe described it as a “huge” milestone for the fully digital insurance company.
Referring to its latest partner, Getsafe said: “The company helps millions of Brits find the best insurance deals every year.
“The new Getsafe partnership enables comparethemarket.com to offer its customers a fully digital and flexible insurance experience, which will resonate with the next generation of insurance customers.”
A recent YouGov poll commissioned by the mobile insurer found that nearly 50% of Brits aged 25 to 34 are of the belief that they don’t need contents insurance, and Getsafe is bent on convincing this age group with its proposition.
