Aston Lark has agreed terms to acquire the clients of The Health Insurance Company, a deal that will strengthen the group’s already significant health insurance expertise. In a Press release, the Chartered broker noted that this is another step in the continual expansion of its employee benefits and healthcare insurance business, and that further acquisitions are planned.

The Health Insurance Company, which is based in Bournemouth, was founded by Paul Spector (pictured) in 2016 and is a private medical insurance specialist, providing cover for individuals and small businesses. Since its inception, the brand has achieved recognition in the market for client service and health insurance expertise.

Spector, who has advised on health insurance solutions since 1998, emphasised that the deal is an “incredible milestone” in the history of the company. He highlighted that the firm’s focus on first-class professional advice and great customer service is an ethos mirrored by Aston Lark.

“I am excited that clients will now be able to benefit from the huge potential of dealing with this superb company,” he said, “and their enhanced ability to offer clients some of the best propositions in the marketplace, while maintaining the personal service that we have placed so much emphasis on.

“Aston Lark is the perfect partner with the ideal pedigree for our business and we are confident that this next chapter in the life of The Health Insurance Company will be an excellent opportunity for the most important people in our business – our clients.”

Peter Blanc, group CEO of Aston Lark said the team was delighted to welcome The Health Insurance Company to the group’s employee benefits family. He also highlighted how Spector’s ethos for customer service fits in perfectly with Aston Lark. The group is growing strongly in the private health insurance market, he said, and it continues to seep other like-minded private medical insurance brokers who are looking to join forces in a bid to better serve their clients going forward.
