Road safety firm TTC is gearing towards fleet driver risk management, identifying it as a key area to target.

Through its DriverProtect brand, the fleet driver training services provider offers to assist businesses in managing work-related road safety. Supported by a ramped-up team, chief executive Jim Kirkwood is keen to oversee expansion.

Heading the DriverProtect team is former AA DriveTech executive Andy Wheeler, whose more than two decades of fleet driver training and fleet risk management industry experience now includes his business development director role at TTC.

“We realise that managing workplace road safety can be a real challenge for businesses of all sizes, which is why we have created a suite of services to help,” explained Wheeler. “Our aim is to help businesses continually improve compliance through innovation and collaboration helping them to protect their people, protect their business, and protect their brand.”

Two other team members also came from AA DriveTech: Sarah Dethick and Michael Douglas, who were appointed by TTC as business development manager and implementation manager, respectively. Jo Baugh, who has been with TTC since 2009, has recently taken on the position of marketing manager. Stacey Bullock, on the other hand, joined TTC this year as corporate sales administrator.

“Employees are both your most expensive and most valuable asset; analysing their driver risk and managing it is essential,” said TTC senior consultant on road safety Adrian Hide. “We have a free online risk audit which is a great way to see how well you are currently managing doing this.”

DriverProtect is TTC’s end-to-end driver risk management service committed to minimising fleet driver risk and optimising driver-related business performance.
