LV= General Insurance (LV=GI) now has a corporate responsibility director in the form of Rodney Assock (pictured).

The company stalwart, who has been with Liverpool Victoria Friendly Society (LV=) for 13 years, will be in charge of delivering LV=GI’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy and defining how the business can better operate in an ethical, environmentally-friendly, and sustainable manner.

Reporting to LV=GI people director Sharon Juleff, Assock will also be responsible for the insurer’s diversity and inclusion (D&I) policy. Prior to his appointment, LV=GI’s CSR and D&I activity had been managed by separate steering committees since the operations became a standalone entity last year.

“I’ve seen first-hand how much passion there is for CSR and D&I within LV=GI, so I’m looking forward to working with our people to drive forward our CSR and D&I strategy,” noted Assock.

“Sustainability is an incredibly important issue to our customers and I’m excited by the opportunity that LV=GI has in putting forward its social purpose and making a real difference in the communities in which we operate.”

Meanwhile, Juleff is of the view that it’s LV=GI’s culture and values that sets it apart from competitors.

“I’m incredibly proud of what our people do every day to help our customers,” she stated. “Over the years, we’ve also worked hard to support our local communities and also focus on D&I.

“With consumer expectations changing though, it’s now crucial that we bring all the positive work we’ve been doing under one umbrella, and I know Rodney will do a fantastic job of taking our CSR and D&I work to the next level.”
