The man behind Henderson Insurance Broking Group is among this year’s elite roster of awardees named in The Queen’s Birthday Honours List.

Published on June 08, the list includes damehoods and knighthoods as well as commanders (CBE), officers (OBE), and members (MBE) of the Order of the British Empire. It recognises the achievements of what the government described as a wide range of extraordinary people across the UK.

One of them is Joseph Edgar “Joe” Henderson, founder of the brokerage which was acquired by Aon in 2017. The industry hotshot was awarded an MBE for services to business and the community in Lincolnshire.

Meanwhile two executives from British insurance giant Aviva also received the same recognition.

Aviva customer adviser Susan Peters was conferred with an MBE for services to the economy and customer service, while Aviva Health Insurance customer services manager Joanne Elizabeth Pardavila was commended for services to the economy and the community in Manchester.
