Insignia Underwriting, the specialist insurance intermediary for the Armed Forces, has launched a bespoke online protection portal for military personnel and their families.

The firm will adopt LifeQuote’s protection platform, which will provide a paneled direct-to-consumer service and specialist support from the Insignia protection team.

The online portal is expected to help military personnel and their families in purchasing a range of life and protection policies given their current military status.

“We are pleased to be teaming up with LifeQuote to help streamline the process for all military personnel seeking insurance cover,” said Rod Breeze, managing director of Insignia Underwriting.

Supporting the Armed Forces and their families with protection policies has been “challenging” due to the nature of their work and the frequent movement of military personnel, according to Neil McCarthy, LifeQuote sales and marketing director.

“By offering a combination of an online portal, supported by protection intermediaries and a dedicated case management team, Insignia can support all Armed Forces personnel and their families,” McCarthy said.

Insignia offers a range of policies that are flexible to meet the changing needs of military personnel. The firm was founded in 2013 by a team of military insurance experts with over 40 years of combined experience in the insurance market for the Armed Forces.
