Like most people in the industry, Ed Le Flufy entered on happenstance, but his love for the industry grew, not only because of its “interesting and extremely diverse” nature, but also because he is constantly motivated by the value his role brings.
“I am motivated by my understanding of the industry’s perhaps underappreciated role in the world’s economy, providing real value to businesses, helping them to manage, mitigate and ultimately transfer risk and protecting them when things inevitably go wrong,” he says.
At BMS Group, Le Flufy has contributed to the company’s expansion into US crop index-linked products, which has resulted in over £3.8m of new premium in the market from 2013-2016.
Having achieved his ACII designation, Ed is also recent recipient of the CISI’s Corporate Finance Diploma, was chosen to take part in the CII’s New Generation Programme 2016 and is also a member of Insurance Institute of London’s Young Members’ Committee.
