For more than two decades, Kelly Fyfe has been part of Professional Insurance Agents [PIA] and has continuously proven to be a pioneer in the industry. Fyfe led the design and implementation of the company’s online quote-and- buy platform. Not content with what others perceived as a market-leading online product, she then worked tirelessly to improve the system. She was responsible for rolling it out to brokers all over the UK, white-labelled and free of charge. Today, more than 600 brokers across UK and Europe use this system in both B2C and B2B capacities.
Currently, Fyfe is working on further developing the system to make PIA the first UK broker to possess a fully automated, AI-powered quote-and-buy platform. In addition to further developing the platform and strengthening PIA’s online presence, Fyfe maintains more than 15 binders with some of the largest insurers and MGAs in the UK, as well as sourcing opportunities overseas.
Fyfe credits her team for her successes and sense of fulfilment. “I’m fortunate enough to work with a young and very talented team,” she says. “I’m proud to play an active role in their training, development and mentoring, so watching them grow and develop is very rewarding for me.” She adds that despite the continuing challenges in the industry, it’s also an exciting time for women, as their talent and contributions to the business are increasingly being recognised.
