Craig Curtiss has been working in the insurance sector since he was 18 and has gained over 10 years’ experience within the industry, covering UK property, marine liability and, most recently, political violence. He took over the book of business for the political violence line at IGI at age 27, and over the past three years he has managed a portfolio with an annual gross written premium of US$16–17m and oversees a team of eight staff in four different countries.
Curtiss greatly appreciates how IGI has demonstrated full trust in his ability and expertise, helping his progression and that of other young talent within the company. As a result, he has consistently shown commitment that goes above and beyond the call of duty. In order to maintain strong relationships with his political violence clients, Curtiss frequently travels to territories with challenging geopolitical conditions, ranging from Colombia to Pakistan and everywhere in between.
