CSAA Insurance Group announces new promotions

CSAA Insurance Group has announced new promotions in its product management division and its newly formed Enterprise Strategic Initiatives Office (ESIO).

Laurna Castillio has been named senior vice president of state product management, while Rick Lanter has been appointed senior vice president of product strategy and development. Lisa Figgins and Chris Kesterson have been appointed co-leaders of the new ESIO.

“We are excited to announce the promotions of Laurna, Rick, Lisa and Chris, as these business leaders will help us continue to think big and move fast,” said Ryan Vigus, executive vice president of personal lines product management at CSAA IG. “These experienced individuals are well-positioned to help us achieve our goals and position us for success.”

In her new role, Castillo will lead CSAA IG’s state product management and agency administration and experience teams, which are responsible for the performance of personal lines insurance products. She holds a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley, and is an associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society.

In his new position, Lanter will lead the strategy, design, development and deployment of CSAA IG’s personal lines insurance products and features. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Tennessee – Chattanooga and an MBA from Yale University.

The new ESIO was launched to enable growth and transformation by bringing process discipline, financial rigor and cross-divisional transparency to initiative delivery, the company said. In her new role, Figgins will serve as the EISO’s strategic business leader. She has been with CSAA IG for more than 10 years and has held various leadership roles in product management and product development. Figgins holds a bachelor’s degree in business and finance from California State University, Sacramento.

Kesterson has been with the company for more than 17 years, playing key roles in a wide range of strategic initiatives. He is a certified Scrum Master and Scrum Product Owner and has a property-casualty agent/broker license.
