MetLife has agreed to by vision-care benefits company Versant Health, according to a Reuters report.

The insurer will buy Versant Health for $1.68 billion from an investor group led by Centerbridge Partners and FFL Partners, Reuters reported.

The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter, MetLife said in a statement.
