Oregon’s Health Insurance Marketplace has awarded grants to select insurance agencies in the state to help promote the coming open enrollment period.
The state pledged over $795,000 in grants to 34 insurance agencies, as well as eight community groups. Awardees will use the grants to publicize the upcoming enrollment period and to help locals enroll in coverage through HealthCare.gov and other similar programs.
Open enrollment for the federal health plan will run from November 01 to December 15, 2018.
“Every year, more Oregonians enroll in coverage through HealthCare.gov,” Oregon Health Insurance Marketplace administrator Chiqui Flowers told KTVZ. “The dedication and expertise of partners like these grantees help make that possible.”
