Global insurance brokerage Hub International Limited has announced that it has acquired the APEX Global Benefit Management system and related assets from Alta Actuaries and Consultants. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Headquartered in Chicago, Alta was founded by a group of global professionals who have a broad range of experience consulting in more than 60 countries. Alta uses its innovative technology, actuarial acumen and expertise in global benefits to provide high-touch services to multinational companies, Hub said.

Adding Alta’s benefits and consulting services will bolster Hug’s expertise in delivering global benefits strategies, governance models, benefits management, technology, and health and wellbeing programs.

Wil Gaitan and Miguel Santos, principals and global consulting actuaries at Alta, and Marjorie Gaitan, principal and global total rewards consultant, will join Hub Corporate Employee Benefits as part of the transaction.
