Alesco Risk Management Services has announced the appointment of two new partners, Alison Schwab and Mark Smith, in its energy division.
Prior to her role at Alesco, Schwab was a director for Wortham Insurance in Houston, Texas. Before that she worked with Lockton and as an environmental underwriter at
AIG. She has more than a decade of experience in energy casualty.
Smith joins Alesco from AAA Insurance and Reinsurance Brokers. He has more than 20 years of industry experience, with particular expertise in technical trading within the African and Eastern European markets.
“In 2017, we had a dozen new team members join Alesco’s energy practice, with more than 100 across the wider business, so it’s great to continue that momentum in 2018 with these two equally impressive hires from the global broking world,” said Simon Clarkson, the company’s managing partner for energy. “…I look forward to working with Alison and Mark and the rest of the energy team as we strive to make 2018 Alesco’s most innovative and successful year yet.”
