The Bennett Christmas family has just gotten bigger.

Announcing its latest swoop, the rapidly expanding firm said it will have a satellite office in the form of Cardale Assurance Facilities’ base in Horley. The acquisition will see Cardale staff, from their current location, augment the Bennett Christmas Insurance Brokers team effective immediately.

In addition, the BC Risk Management unit will move from the Burgess Hill headquarters to the Horley site.

“The satellite office allows us to provide health and safety audits, training and site inspections for construction, manufacturing, and other businesses in Horley, Surrey, and across the south east,” noted Anthony Birch, BC Risk Management associate director. “It also allows us to expand and we are pleased to be recruiting for a new health and safety advisor.”

Commenting on the deal, Bennett Christmas chief executive Mark Bennett (pictured) called it “a perfect fit” and also paid tribute to Val Cardale, who passed away earlier this year. Acquisition talks were initiated prior to her untimely death.

“Val and her husband had met their local community’s insurance needs for more than 40 years and were widely respected within the local industry,” said Bennett. “We are proud to continue that service.”

Bennett Christmas are independent insurance brokers, underwriters, and risk management consultants. In January the 50-year-old business set out what was described as an ambitious five-year expansion plan.

Meanwhile Cardale director Nigel Fletcher, who is retiring, remarked: “We are pleased to place our long-established business in independent, local hands. Our aligned processes and procedures will ensure that our customers continue to receive the high levels of service they’re used to and benefit from the broader service offering that our combined businesses will provide.”
