One of Alberta’s largest independent insurance brokerages has announced a new president to take over immediately.

Chris Huebner has been appointed to the position of president of Lloyd Sadd Insurance Brokers Ltd.

“Chris has been with Lloyd Sadd for over 19 years in various roles, from personal lines processor, account executive, director of sales and ultimately vice president of sales,” says T. Marshall Sadd, chief executive officer, Lloyd Sadd. “As an active leader and shareholder within the business, Chris has worked hard to learn the business of insurance from the ground up. He is truly a product of the Lloyd Sadd culture, and his experience and contacts will be valuable additions to our organization as we execute our strategy.”

Huebner’s appointment is part of the company’s strategic objective of driving long-term value for stakeholders, says Sadd.

Huebner came to Lloyd Sadd in 1996 as a recent graduate from the University of Alberta. Originally thinking this would be a stepping stone to another career, he became intrigued with insurance and risk management and has worked hard to become a partner and integral member of the Lloyd Sadd team.

Huebner thrives on knowledge and continuous improvement, says Sadd, achieving his Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional and Canadian Risk Management designations.

According to the press release, Huebner believes Lloyd Sadd’s success is based on their desire to support initiatives to enhance customer service at all levels and by providing an exciting work environment for employees.

Outside of work, Huebner is very active with family, fitness and volunteering. He and his wife have two young sons. He is an active runner and cyclist and has competed in numerous triathlons and marathons. He is also a board member of Junior Achievement and his local community league.
