The Insurance Institute of Canada has released the names of the first new-track graduates of its Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) designation program.

“We are proud of the accomplishments of our inaugural new-track FCIP grads, who have committed themselves to broadening their knowledge of the property and casualty insurance industry,” said Insurance Institute president and CEO Peter Hohman, MBA, FCIP, ICD.D. “We look forward to seeing them realize their full potential as future leaders in the industry.”

These graduates are the first to earn an FCIP designation through the program’s new track that was launched four years ago.

The FCIP is a six-course, part-time professional development program that focuses on leadership knowledge and skills. The online program offers a comprehensive business education with a focus on property and casualty (P&C) insurance.

“The FCIP program provides you with timely, relevant information that enables you to improve your skills and uniquely prepares you to sit at the executive table of your company,” said 2014 FCIP grad Anna McCrindell. “My advice is that if you are interested in taking your career to that next level, the FCIP is a great opportunity to improve your skills and provides you with the knowledge to be a real leader in this industry.”
