Tom Lynch has been in the insurance industry for nearly five decades. As president of Plastridge Insurance Agency, which he purchased in 1974, Lynch leads the team of more than 95 employees across four offices in South Florida, providing insurance solutions nationally and worldwide.
Over the course of his career, Lynch has served in many industry and civic roles, including being a member of Citizens Board of Governors, serving on Travelers Insurance Company’s leadership council, serving as president of the Independent Insurance Agents of Palm Beach County and chairing the board of trustees for Boca Raton’s Chamber of Commerce.
Since 2008, Lynch has been mayor of the Village of Golf, Florida, which is not his first mayoral role – from 1990 to 1996, he was mayor of Delray Beach. He is also a governor-appointed board member and financial committee chair of the Children Services Council of Palm Beach County, and a board member and chair of the audit committee for Celsius.
