Prior to starting Insurance Technologies Corporation [ITC] in 1983, Scott Upfield worked at American Communication Enterprises in Dallas, where he was involved in engineering a digital phone switch. Today, he serves as ITC’s COO; since 1988, Upfield has grown the company from one product to multiple automation products and services for the insurance industry. He is responsible for managing the production and development of TurboRater, ITC’s comparative rating software. In addition, he monitors other areas of the company, including marketing and sales, for opportunities to improve operations and efficiency. In addition to his duties at ITC, Upfield serves on the board of directors for Temtex Industries and the Dallas chapter of the Young Entrepreneurs’ Organization.
