Andrew Shockey has spent his 17-year career in various field and management roles within the risk management discipline. For the past eight years, he’s been with Philadelphia Insurance Companies [PHLY], where he focuses on talent development and various strategic initiatives.
Shockey has been instrumental in developing and implementing PHLY’s GPS/telematics program, PHLYTRAC, as well as the risk management department’s training program for recent college graduates. By building relationships with a sister company in London, Shockey created a talent exchange program that provides an additional development opportunity for department personnel. While supporting and directing various operational priorities, he has managed to triple his field staff headcount over the last few years. He considers his work with policyholders with respect to child sexual abuse prevention to be among his most rewarding professional duties.
