Michael Brown joined Golden Bear Insurance Company in 2002, responsible for underwriting property and DIC/ earthquake business. He became manager of the commercial property underwriting department in 2013 and was promoted to vice president in 2015. Currently, 90% of the property department’s business is commercial earthquake exposures, managed through CAT models.
In addition to his work at Golden Bear, Brown has written about and commented on various topics related to property catastrophe insurance for a number of risk and insurance publications, including Insurance Business America.
