After almost 28 years with IAG, culminating in the role of national manager for authorised representatives, Danny Byrnes stepped into the top job at IAG subsidiary AHI in 2017. He’s already helped steer the firm through some major changes, and AHI is currently in the midst of a sweeping digital transformation that includes plans for a new logo and website, as well as an updated broker portal. “Our goals for the next 12 months are to continue our investment into technological change without losing focus on our face-to-face and personable approach,” Byrnes told Insurance Business in an interview earlier this year. “None of our customers are the same, so we’ll be releasing new initiatives in the next 12 months to support this while making sure we protect what matters most.” For all his hard work, Byrnes received a spot on the 2019 Insurance Business Australia Hot List. He has a graduate certificate in insurance and risk management and a MBA from Deakin University. He is also a fellow of ANZIIF.
