Faith Owens has been with Bridges Insurance since 2007 when she returned from eight years working in insurance in the UK. Owens completed her Level 5 National Certificate in Financial Services (Insurance) in 2013. Following receipt of an NZBrokers scholarship in 2018, she also completed her diploma in leadership and management at the Australian Institute of Business based in Sydney. Owens won Broker of the Year – Independent at the inaugural Women in Insurance New Zealand Awards in 2019. In an interview with CoverNote, Owens said her key strengths are attention to detail and really listening when she’s working with a client. “It’s important to listen to what they’re saying . . . and also what they’re not saying,” she says. “I generally form really strong relationships with my clients and some of them have become close friends. Also, I don’t consider myself to be a salesperson; I prefer to help my clients with good advice and matching them with right product for their needs. And I’m lucky to have a really good memory for names and faces.”
