Guy Mills, CEO of Manulife (International), oversees all its businesses and distribution in Hong Kong and Macau, except mutual-funds business. He is also a director of the board of both Manulife (International) and Manulife Asset Management (Hong Kong). In addition, he is president and CEO of Manulife International Holdings. Mills serves as chairman of the Life Insurance Council and is a member of the governing committee at The Hong Kong Federation of Insurers. He is also a member of the general committee of the Employers’ Federation of Hong Kong. Having joined Manulife Financial in 1995, he has more than two decades of practical experience with the company. He has held progressive technology and operations management roles within Manulife’s Canadian, Asian and corporate divisions, including a two-year assignment in Tokyo during the first half of his career with the firm. In 2005, Mills relocated to the Philippines to head up Manulife’s business processing services, the company’s global-resourcing capabilities facility, as its first CEO. He built a world-class global-resourcing practice of more than 2,000 employees located in Manila, Chengdu and Kuala Lumpur over his five-year tenure. He was then appointed COO of Manulife’s Asia Division, responsible for operations, customer service, brand development and communications across the region, before moving to Mainland China as CEO of Manulife-Sinochem.
