Prior to founding Delta in April 2014, Ian Pollard worked for AIG for nearly 15 years and held a range of executive positions that have taken him from London to Hong Kong, Singapore, New York and Auckland. He was Worldwide Professional Liability manager at the New York headquarters with a portfolio of more than USD750m; and previously responsible for developing and growing AIG’s professional liability practice in China, the Far East, Southeast Asia, Middle East, South Asia, Australia and New Zealand. He most recently headed the professional liability insurance business for Asia-Pacific.
Craig Kirk, also a co-founder of Delta Insurance, has over 20 years’ experience underwriting and managing financial lines and casualty portfolios throughout a number of international jurisdictions, including Australia, New Zealand, UK and Europe. He spent a number of years at AIG and held numerous senior roles there, most recently based in London as professional indemnity manager for Europe with a portfolio of circa USD400m. Kirk was the national liability manager for Lumley General in New Zealand and started his career as a professional indemnity underwriter for Zurich in the UK.
