Kelly Lyles, chief executive, client and country management at AXA XL, was the proud recipient of the 2019 APIW Insurance Woman of the Year award. During her career, Lyles has held a number of senior roles in financial lines underwriting and management. Between 2014 and 2018, she served in several senior positions at XL and later XL Catlin including chief regional officer, insurance, deputy chair of the insurance leadership team, and chief executive of global professional insurance operations. Before joining XL Group in 2014, Lyles served as head of speciality lines for Europe and MEA at AIG. Earlier, she served as AIG’s country manager in France, where she oversaw commercial and consumer business development, operations and systems, claims, finance, accounting, legal and human resources. She is a graduate of Villanova University where she did her bachelor’s in science, business administration.
