Mark Allan is the commercial director for Bupa’s UK Insurance Business, responsible for the commercial leadership of the consumer, SME and corporate channels. Allan joined Bupa in late 2017 having previously been managing director for RSA’s personal intermediated business. Here, he worked with intermediary partners across the retail, affinity, national and regional broker and private client sectors with the responsibility for the performance, future direction and strategy of this division. Allan was at RSA for 23 years, working in a number of large people leadership roles, including heading RSA's UK claims and loss adjusting operations. He has a strong track record of delivery of both growth and profit turnaround in a fast paced and diverse financial services market, and is renowned for creating an engaging, high performing and developmental environment, attracting talented people and delivering strong B2B/B2C customer outcomes.
