Sima Ruparelia is an experienced chief actuary with a demonstrated history of working in the insurance industry with skills in enterprise risk management, analytical skills, pricing strategy, reinsurance, and management. At AIG, she is responsible for c$8bn of net reserves and insurance risk-leading reserve recommendations at the UK and Europe Reserves Committee. Ruparelia is also the executive sponsor for multiple strategic initiatives within the business including technical pricing and underwriting digital workflow tools. Two of her biggest roles prior to AIG were: group actuary and group head of economic for Catlin, and senior manager at EY. Ruparelia is the executive co-sponsor of AIG’s “Showcasing How Inclusion Nurtures Excellence” programme. In 2018, she was named an honouree of the Women to Watch EMEA award. Since then, she has joined the board of this foundation. In 2019, she was a speaker at the Everywoman in Insurance Forum.
