manager central region of financial and professional risks
Amanda Halfacree has been manager central region of financial and professional risks since July 2016, after a short stint at NZI and nearly six years at CGU Insurance. At CGU, she served as SME state underwriting manager for NSW (2014-2016) and northern regional manager of professional risks (2010-2014). Her deep expertise in underwriting and broking have also been honed by her more than three years at AIG (2007-2010) as senior underwriter, and two years with Marsh (2005-2007) as broker. Halfacree won Broker of the Year at the Women in Insurance NZ Awards 2020. She earned a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Financial Management Services from the University of Otago, and Bachelor of Arts in History from the Victoria University of Wellington.
