Just this year, Andy Taylor has become president and CEO of Gore Mutual, Canada’s oldest property and casualty insurer, marking a new milestone in the company’s 181-year history. Taylor has been with Gore Mutual for 15 years, and has held the position of chief financial officer since 2012. Under his leadership, Gore Mutual recently launched its Next Horizon strategy, with an ambitious plan to “radically transform” the company into a purpose-driven, digitally-led national insurer. In addition to the complete transformation of its core business, Taylor said Gore Mutual will also focus on strategic programs including alternate capital models for mutual insurance companies and the expansion of their retail business. Taylor studied at the University of Western Ontario.
