CEO
Anthony Baldwin is the CEO and board director of AIG UK. Based in London, he leads the AIG UK’s executive committee, working closely with the board and senior management team to formulate AIG’s profitable growth strategies for the UK. Baldwin joined AIG in 1995 as financial institutions underwriter for the UK and Ireland – a role he held until 2004. He then became chief underwriting officer for financial lines for UK and Ireland, before getting promoted to financial lines manager for UK and Ireland in 2006. Two years after, he was appointed head of AIG’s international financial lines portfolio. In July 2011, he became head of distribution for Europe, and was appointed to managing director of field operations across the EMEA region in January 2012. In November 2015, he became CEO of AIG’s European entity, before taking the role of CEO of AIG UK in December 2018, after was company was divided post-Brexit. Baldwin is a member of the board of directors of British American Business, The Association of British Insurers, and the London Market Group. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Studies from the University of Surrey in the UK.
