CEO New Zealand
Craig Olsen has been leading IAG New Zealand as CEO since 2016. But even before that, Olsen has already been a driving force in the insurance giant’s success, having worked at the company for more than two decades in a variety of leadership roles in the Australian and Indonesian markets before moving to New Zealand in 2012 as executive general manager. Some of the roles he held at IAG include general manager for workers’ compensation, based in Melbourne; head of Indonesia, based in Jakarta; and in New Zealand, he was most recently executive general manager for IAG Direct Insurance – a role he held for nearly three years. Olsen is also president and board member of Insurance Council of New Zealand (ICNZ). He took on the ICNZ role just this July. He was previously a director at Loyalty New Zealand, First Rescue and Emergency, and Personal Injury Education Foundation. Olsen earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of South Australia.
