During his 11-year career in insurance, Kyle Burnett has become known for his ability to create effective underwriting strategies and find optimal insurance solutions for his clients. He is now focused on building and maintaining a strong portfolio and taking part in a global team effort to help underwriting colleagues learn as much as possible from losses by developing guidelines, checklists, and other tools to strengthen underwriting assessments. Prior to AXA XL, Burnett worked at XL Catlin, where he was most recently head of E&S property. He has also held underwriting roles with Everest National Insurance Company, PartnerRe, and WKFC Underwriting Managers, where he started his insurance career in 2009. Burnett was named in IBA’s Hot List and Young Guns list in 2018 and IASA’s Top 30 Under 30 in 2017 and 2018. Just this year, he also made it to IBA’s Hot 100 list. Burnett graduated from Farmingdale State University of New York, and completed his CPCU from Hofstra University.
