Robert Kelly co-founded Steadfast in 1996, and has since then, led the company to become the largest general insurance broker network and underwriting agency group in Australia and New Zealand as well as an ASX-200 listed company. Kelly has more than 45 years’ experience in the insurance industry, and has been ranked as one of the most influential people in insurance. In 2016, he received the Lex McKeown Trophy for his contribution to the industry and insurance broking. In 2018, he was included in the Insurance Business Hot List. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and sits on the ACORD board in New York. Kelly is also a director of ASX-listed Johns Lyng Group and not-for-profit organisation KidsXpress. Kelly is a fellow of the National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA), a senior associate of ANZIIF Certified Insurance Professionals, and holds Diplomas in Financial Services and in Occupational Health and Safety, and a Graduate Diploma in Australian Risk Management.
