For nearly a century and a half, Frenkel & Company has served as a full-service insurance brokerage and currently writes more than $1 billion in annual premium. One of the firm’s largest specialty programs is its professional liability program for psychoanalysts, which was established over 40 years ago in response to a psychoanalyst who mentioned the difficulty he faced in procuring medical malpractice insurance. Frenkel took this as a call to action to put together its mental health professional liability program. Adapting to changing times, Frenkel has opened the program to offer insurance to not only psychiatrists, but also psychologists and social workers.
Frenkel’s other major program is cosmetic insurance, which the company acquired in 2001.
