Gallagher Bassett New Zealand recently participated in the New Zealand Underwriting Agencies Council (NZUAC) Expo. This event brought together brokers, underwriting agencies, and insurance professionals to explore the breadth of opportunities available in the New Zealand market.

The Expo also provided a platform for discussion and exchange, featuring innovations and ideas from various industry stakeholders. It was an opportunity for companies like Gallagher Bassett to engage in educational and collaborative activities, and to observe the expertise of underwriting agencies and other insurance entities in the sector.

In the past three years, NZUAC has made notable strides in bolstering underwriting agencies and enhancing their market presence. This growth is evidenced by an increase in membership, the emergence of new market players, and the inclusion of previously unrepresented agencies. The Expo served as a key juncture for connecting brokers with seasoned industry members.

Reflecting on its participation in the NZUAC Expo, Gallagher Bassett reiterated its dedication to promoting collaboration and contributing to the ongoing development and innovation of the insurance sector in both New Zealand and Australia.

“I’ve been privileged to be a part of the NZUAC board, and it is fantastic to see events like this Expo highlighting the essential role underwriting agencies play in uniting all areas of the insurance sector,” said Craig Furness, Gallagher Bassett New Zealand CEO. “The council serves as a pivotal force in shaping the New Zealand insurance landscape, promoting collaboration, sharing insights, and tackling industry challenges. GB takes pride in actively supporting NZUAC and their mission to uplift the underwriting community, contributing significantly to the overall success of our industry.”
