Gallagher Bassett New Zealand has announced the appointment of Kelly Spratt as national supply chain manager. Spratt’s role will involve overseeing the strategic management of the company's supply chain operations.

"The opportunity to work for a global industry leader with values that align to my own and places people at the centre of their business was exactly what I was looking for in a new role,” Spratt said. “With the New Zealand supply chain network facing a set of complex challenges, I hit the ground running in April and have been fortunate to work with a talented team as we apply our strategic thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills.”

Spratt will be responsible for establishing and maintaining long-term partnerships within the supply chain network. She will be focused on ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of products and services while fostering transparency, honesty, and trust.

"Kelly’s diverse experience and skillset make her the perfect fit for this role, and her empathetic leadership and strategic mindset will be instrumental in driving positive impacts for our customers, vendors, and most importantly, our people,” said Craig Furness, CEO of Gallagher Bassett New Zealand.

Spratt's leadership skills have been honed through her role as chair of the Canterbury Women's Infrastructure Network and her studies in Auckland University's Strategic CIO Program.

“I firmly believe in leading by putting myself in others’ shoes; it’s the only way I can help cultivate a safe environment where everyone can thrive,” Spratt said. “Throughout my career, I’ve learned from many different types of leaders – which is why I prioritise empathy, kindness and professionalism.”
