Paul Lucas is one of the UK insurance media industry's most decorated editors, serving as Global Editor of Insurance Business - overseeing all editorial output across the brand's regional titles worldwide.

An award-winning journalist and editor with credits spanning national newspapers and leading consumer finance platforms, Paul began his career at Trinity Mirror,  and later contributed to titles including The Sun and The Daily Record, before being named UK Motoring Journalist of the Year in 2009. He has since established himself as a defining voice in specialist B2B publishing.

Under his leadership, Insurance Business has become the industry's most recognised media brand. He led the title to consecutive Insurance & Risk Publication of the Year honours at the WTW Awards in 2018, 2019 and 2021; Publication of the Year at the 2022 BIBA Awards; a Tabbies Silver Award for Best B2B Website in 2023; and Best Website at the APEX Grand Awards in 2024. In 2025, Paul added a second APEX Grand Award - Best Electronic Media - in his role as host of Insurance Business TV, reflecting his evolution into broadcast journalism.

Beyond insurance media, Paul has contributed expertise to some of the UK's most trusted consumer finance destinations, including gocompare.com and Aark International, and formerly served as editor of moneysupermarket.com.
