Artex Risk Solutions has launched a new unit in Singapore, marking the risk manager’s entry into the Asia-Pacific market.

The new unit, named Artex Risk Solutions (Singapore) Pte Ltd, will serve as a hub to grow and develop Artex’s captive insurance and risk solutions businesses in the region. Vic Pannuzzo has been hired as chief executive officer for the new operation.

Pannuzzo has over 30 years’ experience working for multinational insurance and risk services firms in the Asia-Pacific market, the last 17 of which were spent managing and advising captive clients and prospects.

“We’ve broadened our reach into Europe, and significantly increased scale in Bermuda and the Cayman Islands,” said David McManus, president and CEO of Artex. “We have a number of clients in the Asia-Pacific region already and believe that we now have a great opportunity to release the untapped potential in that marketplace. This expanded global reach also enhances the variety of solutions Artex offers our customers worldwide.”
